TeX - LaTeX Stack Exchange is a question and answer site for users of TeX, LaTeX, ConTeXt, and related typesetting systems. It's 100% free, no registration required.

Two questions (apologies!), but they're related.

I'm using the glossaries package, and I want to add external information to my glossary entries. My questions are:

  1. How can I add a URL hyperlink to a glossary entry? The glossaries documentation (link) has a list of keys to supply relevant information, but it doesn't have a URL key. I'd want it to look something like, "See relevant Wikipedia article here."

  2. Most of my glossary entries should be cited. I have a decent-sized BibTeX file I could use, but I don't know how to use it in a glossary entry. Again, there's no key in \newglossaryentry to do this.

Thoughts? Thanks!

You could use the user keys user1 ... user6 to store the url or citation, although you may get a problem if the url contains active characters. Can you provide a [meta.tex.stackexchange.com/questions/228/… to indicate how you want to reference the url or citation in your text. –  Nicola Talbot Nov 2 '13 at 14:33
