Can anyone explain to me how to draw using LaTeX? (Since new users are not allowed to post an image, I'll try to explain in words what I want.) I want to draw the following relationships but I don't know how. I'm sorry, I know this question of mine is confusing, but help me if you can figure out what I mean. Thanks.:)

  ONE-TO-ONE RELATIONSHIP
  One-to-many relationship
  many-many relationship
MANDATORY ONE ( ONE AND ONLY ONE ) RELATIONSHIP
  MANDATORY RELATIONSHIP
  OPTIONAL ONE RELATIONSHIP
  OPTIONAL MANY RELATIONSHIP

You should be still able to upload the image using the 'add image' icon and just include a link to it. Try to remove the ! in front of the image code. – Martin Scharrer May 20 '11 at 8:52
Dia can help with ER and UML diagrams. – Andrey Vihrov May 20 '11 at 9:52
Are you referring to the type of diagram that is shown on the right of Wikipedia's page on injective functions? – Ian Thompson May 20 '11 at 11:56

Have a look at TikZ/PGF it has a ver good manual with many examples and tutorials. – Tobi May 20 '11 at 15:39
A rather open-ended question. External editors: xfig, Dia, inkscape... Diagramming in (La)TeX: TikZ/PGF or pstricks (especially pst-node if the linked Wikipedia reference is what you are aiming for). – Dean Serenevy May 20 '11 at 20:20
