I wonder if is there any extension teX for open office 3 under ubuntu 11.04.. even if it was for basic teX tasks. I got problems to set up paths links between teXlive itself and any of the editor apps related such as emacs, notepad++, etc.

So you want to (mis-)use Open Office 3 as a text editor to write (La)TeX code or do you want to add (La)TeX material (like math) into a normal Open Office 3 document? – Martin Scharrer♦ Jul 7 '11 at 14:28
