# itemize cannot nest if enumitem is included before some package [closed]

Nesting itemize was working until I usepackage{enumitem}. Now it doesn't work.

Works for me. Please supply a minimal example. – Lev Bishop Sep 12 '10 at 1:46

It's difficult to tell what is being asked here. This question is ambiguous, vague, incomplete, overly broad, or rhetorical and cannot be reasonably answered in its current form. For help clarifying this question so that it can be reopened, see the FAQ.

The problem was inclusion order.

\usepackage[ruled,vlined]{algorithm2e}
\usepackage{amsmath}
\usepackage{amssymb}
\usepackage{bm}
\usepackage{cancel}
\usepackage{threeparttable}
\usepackage{fixltx2e}
\usepackage{MnSymbol}
\usepackage[stretch=10]{microtype}
\usepackage{multirow}
\usepackage{paralist}
\usepackage{units}
\usepackage[shortlabels]{enumitem}

One of these packages must be included before enumitem.

paralist is the most obvious suspect, I would think. – frabjous Sep 12 '10 at 2:14
Can't you construct a minimal example? – Jukka Suomela Sep 12 '10 at 11:21
Will do it later today. – Neil G Sep 12 '10 at 17:39
Anyway, in my Latex environment (MacTex 2009, pdflatex) nested itemize works fine even if I load all of these packages, either before enumitem or after enumitem. So it might be good to mention which Latex environment you are using and also provide a complete (non-)working example and an explanation of exactly what goes wrong. – Jukka Suomela Sep 12 '10 at 21:33
