\usepackage[brazil]{babel}
\usepackage{lipsum}

\begin{document}

\lipsum[1-4]

This question has been asked before and already has an answer. If those answers do not fully address your question, please ask a new question.

You can add \AtBeginDocument{\renewcommand{\bibname}{Refer\^encias}} to your preamble (adapted from Herbert's answer in the linked question). –  Jake Nov 22 '11 at 1:54
