What is TeX2012 which you mentioned? Furthermore, please edit and add a minimal working example (MWE) that illustrates your problem. – Stefan Kottwitz Feb 18 '12 at 15:29
Sorry i meant texlive/2011. I can actually compile other files, but i cant compile my thesis. It is a document with 150 pages so far. – user739807 Feb 18 '12 at 15:42
@user739807: Stefan posted a link that should help you narrow the problem. Until you create an MWE, it's nearly impossible to answer this question. – Andrey Vihrov Feb 18 '12 at 15:46

Try trashing the aux etc. files. – Mark S. Everitt Feb 18 '12 at 15:46

BTW, if the worst comes to the worst, you should be able to roll back to the previous version of TeX Live you were using. It probably wasn't wise to upgrade something so major during your thesis anyway. – Mark S. Everitt Feb 18 '12 at 15:50
