I recently encountered a number of "Underfull \vbox" warnings after switching a document to twoside. Strangely, all of them are reported as being at line 1.

After comparing the twoside output with the non-twoside document the layout seems to be exactly the same.

What could be the problem?

I would guess that the head or foot code for even pages (which isn't used in one side setting) is incorrect and not making a box of the correct size. – David Carlisle Jun 19 '12 at 20:45
How does that relate to the table of contents? Is it where it happens, or does it happen somewhere else too? – ienissei Jun 22 '12 at 6:44
