@HarishKumar Not a duplicate george ask how to place certain information on the title page, not to redefine the title page. – Sveinung Sep 21 '12 at 22:12

@Sveinung To me it seems exactly the same as the question Harish refers to. I'll vote to close, but George can always ask for reopening if the answers there are not sufficient to solve his problem. – egreg Sep 21 '12 at 22:47
@egreg It is not the same question, but may be the answer can help, but also a lot of other suggestions. I would say that it would be a better policy to provide georg with an answer. For example, I see no reference to textpos in the referred answer. Actually, I start getting the feeling that I waste my time on this site. – Sveinung Sep 21 '12 at 23:02
@HarishKumar I don't take anything personally, but suggest a more polite and friendly policy, and I refer, among others, to this question on Meta: meta.tex.stackexchange.com/questions/1808/… (and the relevance is the text in the question and answer, not the question itself). – Sveinung Sep 22 '12 at 7:55

If you want to place certain information on the page, one possibility (there are several more) is to use the package textpos, which open the possibility to place text at an absolute position on the page (typical for a logo or similar graphic), or relative to another text.

Here is a MWE placing a text on top right at the page and a logo (the black box at the bottom left. To play with the position, increase or decrease the first digit inside the parenthesis to move the text/graphics horizontal, increase or decrease the second digit for vertical movement.

%\TPGrid[1mm,1mm]{10}{15} % Uncomment to have a grid on the page
