I would like to insert a table of contents in my diploma thesis but i dont know how. Any ideas ?

ps: I am using Lyx

Hi ALdaperan, welcome to the site! Take a look at heather.cs.ucdavis.edu/~matloff/lyx.html#Title/auth, that explains how to insert a table of contents in LyX. Basically, you do "Insert->ListsTOC->Table of contents". – Jake Sep 27 '12 at 15:38

I tried this but my issue is that i do not follow the layout (report) step by step in my thesis. I already made a lot of customization.. so it isnt pure report.. Is it possible to link contents now from table to pages ? – ALdaperan Sep 27 '12 at 15:51

@ALdaperan: Could you edit your question to reflect that? Please provide detail about how you structured your thesis (did you use proper Sections, for example), and what exactly you want to achieve. – Jake Sep 27 '12 at 16:20

Please provide a minimal working example to understand what has been customized (there are sections?, etc.) and exactly what do you pretend to link (floats? tables? pages? title of sections?). – Fran Sep 27 '12 at 20:13
