I'm having some problems configuring Tex on macbook.

I installed the Mactex from here http://www.tug.org/mactex/faq/index.html

but now when i try to compile a document using texworks, i'm getting a typsetting error:

The program PDFtex was not found ... you need to tell texworks where to find a tex distribution or something like that. I tried to search for the new path, but i did not find anything.

I tried texmaker, it's working without errors but the problem is it's not editing the new generated PDF file after compiling the document

can anyone help please??

What exactly did you download and install? The download page is here, not where you pointed. Did you get MacTeX.pkg from that page, and did the installer finish without errors? – Harald Hanche-Olsen Oct 1 '12 at 20:30
