I have a code that uses a given .sty file. However it gives error. I am using TeXStudio. First when I try to compile it it gives .sty file couldn't found error. Then I assign the .sty file as a master file. This time it gives log file couldn't found error.

Same things happen in TeXmaker also.

Just click on the highlighted link in m first comment and follow the advices there. Name the sty file (perhaps it is part of the tex distribution or on CTAN), show how you call it and give us the exact error message(s) you receive. With your MWE we call try on our computers and test, if we also get your errors. That helps a lot to solve your problem. – Kurt Oct 20 '12 at 15:02
