Continuous footnote numbering

How can I achieve that footnotes have a global numbering scheme, and not a per chapter numbering? I am using the book class from the koma-script. I am also using the footmisc package.

KOMA-Script has a class option I do not remember just now to change the behavior of the footnote counter. Please just have a look into the manual. – Kurt Nov 2 '12 at 21:58
@Kurt I'm not aware of an option to turn off per-chapter numbering. – lockstep Nov 2 '12 at 22:01
I did look there and did not find it. – juri Nov 2 '12 at 23:19

Code-only answers are typically discouraged; like providing a cake without icing. – Werner Nov 2 '12 at 22:19
