I'm setting an exam at the moment using the examdoc class. One of the questions in this exam has a really long answer. I've left 8 inches of lined space for students to answer in.

Currently, these lines are being kicked over onto the next page since that's the first place they can be printed as a unit.

I'd like them to start immediately, with a page break somewhere in the middle with the rest of the lines continuing on the next page.

Is there some way to do this?

Welcome to TeX.sx! Please add a minimal working example (MWE) that illustrates your problem. It is considered a lot better to put in some code that will compile, as it makes it a lot easier for us to copy it into our text editor and work with it, and see exactly what it is you are trying to do. – Kurt Nov 5 '12 at 14:43
With no MWE, this is too localized. – Joseph Wright Nov 20 '12 at 8:17
I was about to write a similar question, so I was wondering whether the OP ever found a solution to this himself. Otherwise, what would be the best way for me to provide the MWE? – georgebrindeiro Jan 4 at 8:42
Nope, I just left it. Deadlines and all that. – fluffels Jan 5 at 12:06
