Is there a way to format the Latex source to make it more readable as you would on Eclipse by right clicking the source and clicking on 'Format Source' ?

emacs with Auc-TeX mode has <meta>-q or <meta>-<ctrl>-\ for this purpose. – Stephan Lehmke Nov 22 '12 at 13:31

Note though that in TeX you can dynamically redefine any syntax element, which makes life hard for CFG-based pretty printers. – Stephan Lehmke Nov 22 '12 at 13:37
