eqnarray or align?!

Whenever the eqnarray environment appears in a question or example of a problem on comp.text. tex, or other fora there is a high probability that someone will tell the poster not to use eqnarray. This article will provide some examples of why many of us consider eqnarray to be harmful and why it should not be used.

What is the question? – Heiko Oberdiek Dec 15 '12 at 17:24
Welcome to! The site is Q&A-focussed, unlike a traditional forum, so this is very likely to get closed as 'not a real question'. – Joseph Wright Dec 15 '12 at 17:26
it is not a question. it is for knowledge.... – Hadi Safi aghdam Dec 15 '12 at 17:41
@HadiSafiaghdam 'Content' needs to be in the answer section as we are Q&A focussed: you could for example write a suitable question and answer it yourself. Note however there is already \enqarray vs \align. – Joseph Wright Dec 15 '12 at 17:48
@HadiSafiaghdam if it's for your knowledge, then it would be more appropriate to bookmark it – cmhughes Dec 15 '12 at 18:06
