Can movie15.sty work with Silverlight application?

What is a "Silverlight application"? – Herbert Jan 13 '11 at 8:34
@Herbert: Adobe Flash belongs to Adobe. Silverlight belongs to Microsoft. Both are plugins that can run on the browser or outside the browser. :-) – xport Jan 13 '11 at 8:44
@Herbert: There is a good example of Silverlight here memorabilia.hardrock.com. But please make sure you have Silverlight player (like Flash player) installed. – xport Jan 13 '11 at 8:48

No. Movie15 uses the Adobe object embedding representation for PDFs, called Rich Media Annotations, which does not handle Silverlight. That might change.

  1. PDF Reference and Adobe Extensions to the PDF Specification — Extension level 3 contains the Rich Media Annotations;
  2. Rich media annotations and AcroFLeX, D.P. Story, TUG Boat 2009;
  3. Inserting rich media into PDF documents - Brief introduction by Adobe.
