I wanted to use the EastLansing theme in beamer but during the compilation LaTeX gives me the following error:

latex error : File 'beamerthemeEastLansing.sty' not found

So how do I do to correct this error? How can I download the theme and where do I have to copy it?

I've already answered your personal e-mail about this. You need to update your TeX distribution. The EastLansing theme is part of the beamer base package and so if you update your distribution you will have access to the theme. You are using MikTeX 2.8 which dates back to 2009 while the theme was added to beamer in 2012. – Alan Munn Jan 23 at 16:06
Welcome to TeX.sx! Usually, we don't put a greeting or a "thank you" in our posts. While this might seem strange at first, it is not a sign of lack of politeness, but rather part of our trying to keep everything very concise. Upvoting is the preferred way here to say "thank you" to users who helped you. – diabonas Jan 23 at 16:26
