for example:

foo

\tiny
 \[
 \bordermatrix[{[]}]{
   ...
 }
 \]
\normalsize

bar

There is also a kbordermatrix with some more features: http://www.hss.caltech.edu/~kcb/TeX/ Examples: http://www.hss.caltech.edu/~kcb/TeX/kbordermatrix.pdf
