Why does my conference/university require me to use dvi intermediary format? So I take it that if the conference just requires a pdf file, I shouldn't mind any talk about DVI whatsoever and just build it the way I prefer? Is there any difference about the way images are embedded (if I use, say, eps and png images with eps2pdf). |

What is the best book to start learning LaTeX? Couldn't agree more. You don't need a book to learn LaTeX, just read the introduction of the LaTeX wikibook and write away! You will encounter the need to learn more as your document progresses. Keep referring to the LaTex wikibook and this site as needed. |

What are good sites to find citations in BibTex format? I love mendeley. You can upload all your papers to it and afterwise manage your library from any computer since your account is hosted on their server. I host my entire library on my account, and create new collections for every new project I have. Mendeley then allows you to create a .bib file automatically for every collection in your library. I never have to edit a .bib file by myself. |
