comment Typeset Chinese Calligraphy Characters
@cfr Well, the font used above definitely looks like "painted" - unlike the stiff, mechnical font of those put out by current computer applications. But this could very well be another font in LaTeX, if there is one.

comment Is LaTeX nowadays still that superior to Word?
It's hard to appreciate the results of LaTeX on a monitor (if you just have plain text and no formulas). Print out the document and compare - then you will be amazed.

LaTeX created math equations have found their way to websites. Some blog posts with lots of formulas almost resemble LaTeX created docs.

@MartinScharrer Lyx produces the same results and since it's more user -friendly, probably more widely known than LaTex.

comment Aligning text in LyX: left/center/right
Yes that's what I am after. Since I am still new to Lyx, I prefer the click-and-choose rather than remembering LaTex code.

comment Aligning text in LyX: left/center/right
That works. However when I try aligning "within" certain parts of text, those options move all the text. For example, on a certain line, I want to right align some text and left align others. How can I do that?

Thanks. To revert to default do I just clear LaTex Preamble?
