comment Tabular cells with exact same width and multicolumn
@Hemeroc When you use \raggedleft you have to add 2\tabcolsep+\arrayrulewidth in 2 cells right column like >{\hsize=\dimexpr2\hsize+2\tabcolsep+\arrayrulewidth\relax\raggedleft}X|. Remember that redefining tabularxcolumn as in the other answer makes all X columns in other tables \raggedleft. I have updated the answer.

comment tufte document classes break with multiple authors
tufte doesn't define \and you have to type You and Me or You, me. That all. If not you have to define \author by yourself.

comment bibliography in alphabetical order
@mico: The OP does not mention that it is an IEEE article (except the use of some .bst that has IEEE in it). The document class is article.

comment How to reduce spacing before each section in latex
eventlist inserts a \bigskip at the end. If you add some text after \end{eventlist} it should look OK. Otherwise you have to redefine eventlist to remove \bigskip at the end. This affects all eventlists though.

comment Multiple tikzpictures in a standalone document
Don't use different tikzpictures. Put all drawing inside a single tikzpicture environment. standalone produces one page per tikzpicture environment you are using (by design).

Masroor, I have added some sample code. Sorry for the delay as my internet is very slow.

comment Reading and (custom) formatting a CSV (not \csvautotabular)
datatool can be used outside table also.

Any hint, however small? → datatool and/or pgfplotstable

comment Move a tikz node somewhat below in relative positioning
For this kind of diagrams, a tikz matrix approach is more suitable where you can declare row separation and column separation in the beginning itself.

comment How to make Tikz image move to left of the page?
You can use \begin{tikzpicture}[scale=<amount>]. <amount> is a number like 0.8. Or you can use \resizebox{\textwidth}{!}{your tikzpicture}

comment Beamer \animategraphics Missing $ inserted \end{frame}
Just a guess AP_inc_ looks suspicious. Try to get rid of underscores by renaming the file.
