Sorry for the late answer: I work with Mathematica, which exports tables only in the array-environment. That's why I did not use tabular. Thank you for your answer! I think it will do it.

Thank you Herbert. Worked perfect! What did you mean by "please use only packages which are part of any TeX-distribution!"?

comment Creating a good looking appendix
Predrag Punosevac, thanks for the link! What I was thinking about, was that it might be nice to have a macro which imports figures from a directory (which then would be the argument of the macro) and arrange them automatically in a two-culumn table. So basically, one would only have to type in the path of the directory containing of X figures and LaTeX will do the rest of the job (alignment, braking pages etc.). Probably their already exist such a macro?

I don't study in the U.S. but actually I'm writing a thesis for a professor in the States. It's on econometrics, so a lot of statistics and plots. Do you have any suggestions regarding templates for this type of thesis?

Okay, I did not know that, sorry. I'll keep that in mind but for the moment \import works. Thanks. :)

I tried it with \include but since the argument cannot be a path the include-approach does not fit to my problem. But thank you for the detailed information! :)
