comment Defining different scripts with fontspec
Thanks for this hint. It looks quite promising but I still didn't manage to use \setTransitionFrom or \setTransitions nor I could find out which block to use with \setTransitionTo for numbers \setTransitionTo{CuneiformNumbersandPunctuation}{\mainfont} doesn't seam to work.

Ok, this package doesn't work in pstricks. pstricks rather holds its own implementation of \clipbox as can be see in chapter 28 of the pstricks User's guide ftp.gwdg.de/pub/ctan/graphics/pstricks/base/doc/….

How can I draw such a flush-fitting box?

It seams that I need a space before the final \strut to get the correct text wrapping behavior (tex.stackexchange.com/questions/229026/…).

comment Hyphenation/text wrapping in \parbox
So the statement “TeX does not hyphenate the first word of a paragraph” combined with \hspace{0pt} was the solution. Why is it bad to and a paragraph with `\`? I'm generating the entries with a for-loop.
