comment LyX 2.1.1 does not recognizing verbatim environment
sounds like a lyx2lyx issue, but without a minimal example we can't be sure. You might be able to make a minimal example in LyX 2.1.1 by exporting to 2.0.x format and then seeing if you get the same error when you import. If not, you can edit the .lyx file directly in a text editor and remove any sensitive material; and then post it.

comment Windows LyX won't open a file created in Mac LyX
I would recommend you update LyX on your Windows to 2.0.8.1, if you prefer not to update to 2.1.1 for some reason. However, if you cannot update on Windows, you can export in LyX 2.1.1 by doing File > Export and choosing LyX 2.0.x. Also, note that the beamer interface is very different between 2.1.x and 2.0.x so it is not recommend to continually convert between the two.

comment no new lines in lyx output from the latex code insertion
Indeed LyX does not support widetext environment. However because your math is inside of it, you could have ERT \begin{widetext} and then normal LyX math or align or however you choose and then afterwards ERT \end{widetext}. It just comes down to a matter of preference though.

@norbux note that there is a LyX mailing list for Spanish speakers, lyx-es, in case you are interested in joining us. For more information, see here: lyx.org/MailingLists

comment Hebrew in lyx 2.1 (using MiKTeX 2.9)
I don't think it's a problem with LyX. I use LyX and can compile all of the Hebrew examples and documentation in LyX.

Another way is to use branches. Select what you want and go to Insert > Branch. Control which are activated by right-clicking on the branches or Document > Settings > Branches

comment Conflict between UTF8 and UTF-CJK
@charles As you've discovered, there's a lot of room for improvement in LyX with language and encoding handling. Please help us improve things by posting detailed bug reports with minimal example files for each issue at lyx.org/trac

comment Windows LyX won't open a file created in Mac LyX
The error happens before LaTeX is used, so your LaTeX installation details are not necessary (although thanks for giving them!). This sounds like it could be a lyx2lyx error. On your Mac, you probably have 2.1.1 (if you only have 2.1, please upgrade as an important bug was just fixed) and LyX needs to convert files saved in 2.0.x to the new format. Something might have gone wrong with the conversion, and you didn't get an error directly from lyx2lyx because it did not realize something when wrong. Please post a minimal example that works with 2.0.x and fails with 2.1 so we can fix this bug

@MYaseen208 sure, put your cursor just to the right of @ (but still inside the ERT box). Then press <Return> on your computer.

comment LYX - Hiding inserted latex commands
@KevinC has good advice. Also note that ctrl + i is a shortcut to close the inset. You can hide the latex more by writing your custom LyX styles. This is not as hard as it sounds, but takes time to learn. See Help > Customization.

comment How to set the justification for all the standard paragraphs in a LyX document
@hfffoman I actually always recommend LyX users learn LaTeX before using LyX. Many do not share my opinion though. In any case, \raggedleft is not an expert LaTeX command. You could have found that out by googling for a LaTeX solution and then you can convert it to a LyX solution as Werner pointed out. In any case, I love and use LyX everyday, but it is a preference thing. If the only reason you're using it is to avoid LaTeX at all costs, then you will be frustrated. It's nearly impossible to avoid using LaTeX when using LyX, and in my opinion that's not a bad thing. Best of luck!

comment How do I write a Physical Review or APS paper in lyx?
There are APA, APA6, and rev-tex 4.1 templates (at least on LyX 2.1.1 there is). To access it on Ubuntu, go to File > New from Template. This should work on all platforms, but I remember examples work differently so I'm not sure.

Note that you should upgrade to LyX 2.1.1. There was a serious bug in 2.1.0 that could lead to data loss.

comment Tikz code not working in LyX but working in pure Tex
After you make your LyX file, export it (File > Export) to see what the LaTeX is that is being run. Likely there is something different in the preamble (LyX adds stuff to the preamble also)

comment cannot import tex file into LyX
In my opinion this is a duplicate. It could be regarded as its own question if the title is changed to "why can't LyX import files that it exports" as the other question did not have that detail. However, I edited the answer to add that detail.

@JimOldfield good points, although in my opinion this is not a "bug" but rather a "feature request".
