Msc. student at Eindhoven University of Technology, department of Mechanical Engineering. Unfortunately it is often said that as ME-student you have to use mathematics like a toolbox -- just use something, and don't wonder about the "how" or "why". I don't agree and like to know the background about the math I use!

Fixed it by adding overlay to the node properties of my environment. Thanks Marco!

comment How to color numbers in axis?
I don't know how to change the color of only a few numbers defined with \tkzInit, but a temporary (i.e. not really proper) solution would be adding nodes like \node[color=blue] at (3,-.34) {3};.

This answer explains your issue quite nicely: tex.stackexchange.com/questions/31190/…

What exactly do you need the float=h for? Without it, the pagebreak works just fine :). Oh by the way, your MWE is missing the package xcolor.

@MarcoDaniel But it hardly ever happens, why is that?

@dustin I uploaded the PDF to my webspace (redpanda.nl/BoxSplines.pdf), see Example 3.18 on page 12.

Thanks for the updates!

Oh and one other thing — I'd like to use an argument to set the text of the node. For instance, \begin{code}{\textsc{Matlab} listing}. I'm currently studying the mdframed-TikZ example PDF, the anwer might be in there :).

Good alternative, but for now I'll stick with the other solution.

Hmm, then there must be something wrong with the firstextra command because I don't get a Code Listings label when the code has a page break. Is the (O|-P) part for the node correct?

Nice! So the singleextra and firstextra just use TikZ code. By the way, why do we need both? For this case it seems kind of redundant.

@MarcoDaniel Well, I'd like to print the code in a smaller size than the default size. The footnotesize is a lazy temporary solution :).

@MarcoDaniel Thanks, I'll check it out.

@ClaudioFiandrino I'm not familiar with that package, but if it is possible to create an environment with the exact same look as the one in my MWE, then that might be the answer.
