comment biblatex: displaying all authors of multi-author works in the bibliography
This changes the number of names in in-text citations as well. The correct option for only setting the value in the bibliography is maxbibnames (from page 45 of the manual). Note that if you set maxbibnames before maxnames, the maxnames setting will override the maxbibnames setting.

comment What is the best way to track changes with non-computer people?
There's also PDF XChange Viewer which has a free (as in beer) demo version with annotation. It's written for windows, but it works well in Wine.

comment How do I make my document look like it was written by a Cthulhu-worshipping madman?
Also, this should be turned into a document class, and included in default latex distributions. I'm very tempted to apply this to my thesis. The content wouldn't be entirely unsuitable...

comment How can I draw an egg using TikZ?
Kurt: Why would you need an MWE for an egg? It's an egg. There are probably very few people in the world who don't know what an egg looks like. Even if it was just a title, this question would be as complete as it needs to be, for the purpose.

comment Remove space around bullet points in itemized or enumerated list
Is there a recommended way to reduce the list separation, rather than remove it? I tried \setlist{itemsep=0pt}, which works well, but actually only reduces the separation to something half way between the default and \setlist{nolistsep}. Why is that?

Although it doesn't actually address the question, I like this answer a lot :)

Backup, bah... that is what git is for :)

comment Why should I *not* use the KOMA-Script classes?
That's not really a recommendation against using KOMA over the base classes, though, is it? Fortunately, my department is pretty easy about this kind of thing. As long as it looks neat and consistent, it's fine.

comment Why should I *not* use the KOMA-Script classes?
@martin: Did you start from scratch using KOMA? I started using a template provided by a supervisor (which may not have been such a great idea, in the long run).

@JosephWright: even if you finished LaTeX3 tomorrow, how long would it take most journals to convert?..
