And, I presume, edit PATH to delete the texlive\2013 entry?

comment Is there a LaTeX widget for iBooks Author?
Barely! For example, iBooks Author version 2.0 does NOT support the amsmath environments such as cases.

comment Is there any mathematical blog support latex?
If you have a blog at wordpress.com then yes, it already supports LaTeX. But if you've installed WordPress from wordpress.org on some server, then you also need to install and activate the LaTeX plug-in.

comment Move QED symbol to the left, i.e. at the end of the sentence
That redefinition of \qed can lead to perhaps an unwanted "dangling qed symbol" by itself on a new line if the last line of the proof itself is too long. For example, in the MWE replace Here is my proof with Here is my very long proof that involves a lot of computation and stretches quite far to the margin.

comment TOC “Appendices” wrongly entry comes after 1st appendix entry when use \include
Thanks! I missed that warning in the package manual. I'll have to see which is the least painful workaround. I do really want to use \include rather than \input, since I'm also using an \includeonly list of files as I develop the material. And the workarounds necessarily defeat that a bit, since I must treat the (possibly temporarily) first appendix file separately from the others. Indeed, in the case at hand, I expect to all another appendix before what's currently the first one.

comment How to compose and compile separate .tex files into a single article/book?
A handy trick if you're using \include is to use that command for all the files you'll eventually have, e.g., all the chapters of a book, but precede those \include statements by an \includeonly where you selectively list just the chapter(s) you want to work on now. While that will (temporarily) break inter-chapter references, it can speed up processing what you're currently working on. You can even use a \typein command that prompts you to specify which items to use in the \includeonly.

comment LaTeX, package documentation look-up
Although it's now a seven years old, nonetheless you may find useful the book "The LaTeX Companion", 2nd edition, by Frank Mittelbach and Michael Goosens (with others). After discussing LaTeX in general, it describes support packages of various kinds organized by their purposes.

comment I can't run Asymptote with Mac OS X Lion
In sample.tex, when I change the cube's label coordinates from (0,1,0.5) to (1,1,0.5) then the cube and its label both disappear entirely from the output.

comment How to typeset special Apple Mac keyboard symbols?
@Alan Munn: OK, that works. Of course I was going to put the .sty file in <path-to-local-texmf>/tex/latex; I was just uncertain about the graphics files. I'd suggest a little readme file saying that.

How does one get the GUI version, xasy, to run under OS X? I've never been able to get the library dependencies satisfied.
