Numbering a reworded theorem Thanks for that. Would there be any way to incorporate this into a newly defined environment? |

Problems encountered whilst using the input command Thank you for all those who have offered me help on this issue. Especially thanks to MartinScharrer and JosephWright who have offered some good advice in the forum about this. Again I apologise if I have infuriated anyone, this was not my intention, but rather it stems from a lack of knowledge of LaTeX, TeX and how TeX files are compiled. I will shortly delete this question to save any other user from being confused by my ignorance! |

Problems encountered whilst using the input command @egreg The problem I have is that this is the error message that is appearing in WinEdt. I have been through the log file and cannot find any other reference to the problem. I am honestly not trying to cause problems, but just do not know what people are expecting me to produce. I admit this is down to my ignorance with \LaTeX and for this I apologise. |

Problems encountered whilst using the input command I'm also sorry if I have annoyed anyone, but I am just struggling to explain the situation. I appreciate that including the preamble file will help, but this is quite long, and the error messages are not referring to the commands and/or packages in the preamble. Again, sorry if I am infuriating some of you. This is not deliberate, but rather is due to a lack of ability on my behalf to explain the situation. For this I apologise. |

Problems encountered whilst using the input command @PeterGrill Having followed your advice, I have managed to locate that the problem is occurring when I start a new paragraph (by simply using a double return). This is similar to a previous occurrence when the error occurred at the point where I had used the \vspace{22pt} command. I cannot however see why such situations would result in errors. |

Problems encountered whilst using the input command I appreciate that a MWE would help, but I cannot really give a WME. The code above explains the situation, the problem is occurring with the monthly files and not always at the same place. |

Problems encountered whilst using the input command Thanks for all your comments. Regarding Peter's comment, I would agree that it appears as if there is a problem with the March file. However, why when I add the preamble and \begin{document}, \end{document} to the March file would it run without any problems? |

Problems encountered whilst using the input command The problem I have is that I have been using this method for a few months now. I know that the March file is alright as it runs fine if I add the preamble to the file and the appropriate \begin{document}, \end{document} etc. (which do not occur in the file). This approach worked fine until a few weeks ago (beginning of April). Then I seemed to get error messages regarding the March file. I cannot understand why these only occur when compiling the file as part of my overall file. |
