How to add decorations to tikz-qtree branches (for example, create AND-branches and OR-branches)? One last observation: that code works when the size of the nodes above and below the arc are the same. If they're different, then their center will be at different places, and the arc will be longer at one of its sides. (I've made the nodes the same size, so I'm OK with it) |

How to add decorations to tikz-qtree branches (for example, create AND-branches and OR-branches)? Thanks! But I'd like something that would go across all branches from a node (if a node has three or five children, then putting a label as you showed may not look nice -- an arc going through the branches would be great) |

todonotes and verbatim If all you need is monospaced font, you may use \ttfamily instead of \verb. |

Fine-tuning placement of arrows inside TikZ nodes Thank you! And I can further align the start of arrows with the longest line by using a 2x2 matrix of nodes, with an empty node after each text node. Great! |

Problem with the nomenclature? I don't use Windows, but certainly there must be a way to compile the PDF file, then run makeindex, and then compile again. Do you use TeXnicCenter? If you do you could follow Mike Renfro's instructions (see the comment on your post, he mentioned you could check this: tex.stackexchange.com/a/14704/3345) |

Why are node names inside \begin{scope} still visible outside? Thanks -- that is very helpful! |

Using circuitikz, how do I make a ground node and link to it from several others? Thanks a lot, really! Now it all works as I intended. |

Why are node names inside \begin{scope} still visible outside? Thanks -- that is certainly useful! It would be also nice if I could get rounded corners -- not only on the outer corners, but also in the split (as if they were really two squares with rounded corners). But this is already great! |

Why are node names inside \begin{scope} still visible outside? Oh, I see. I misunderstood what the scoping was about then... I'll update my question. |

What is the difference between Fragile and Robust commands? I agree that the first paragraph is very clear. However i'd still want to see a simple complete example that I could feed into TeX or LaTeX so I could see how \protect works. |

How to put a star (or other symbol) in sections that are “special” (difficult, optional, etc)? Thank you! Now I can also declare \newcommand{\advsection}[1]{\begin{advanced}\section{#1}\end{advanced}}, which gives me a nice \advsection command. :-) |

How do I draw curve crossing one edge of a tree (using tikz-qtree)? Yes, but I don't want to connect nodes. I want the dotted curve to cross the edge between * and cos, but not connect nodes. |

xkeyval: how to use default key value? @Ahmed Musa: but using \setkeys{Mystuff}{foo=what,bar=whatever,#1} still works if I want these defaults for only one command or environment (and not for all that use the Mystuff family), right? |

xkeyval: how to use default key value? So, if I have a key family for which I'd like the defaults to be always the same, I can use \presetkeys, and if I want to be able to specify the defaults in each \newcommand or \newenvironment, I would use \setkeys with them in the new defined command, as @egreg showed. Sounds really good (very flexible)! :-) |
