comment Autocompletion of citation in TeXShop without BibDesk?
Thanks Adam. Can you suggest a place to look, or search terms to use? I'm looking for something I can get up and running quickly.

I haven't used it. TeXShop uses the native mac spell check, I'd rather use a more mature editor if possible since there tend to be fewer death-by-a-thousand-cuts bugs. The only major advantage of TeXstudio I've seen is code folding, which seems minor to me. Does TeXstudio automatically grab the correct .bib file for citation completion?

comment Why does TeXShop add a dot after autocomplete
Note that in OSX the command for moving to the next marker is found Source/Command Completion/Marks/Next Mark. The key binding is CTRL-COMMAND-F, and for the previous mark it's CTRL-COMMAND-G.

Nothing wrong with answering your own question, but note that this doesn't seem to work generally.

This question is also asked at SuperUser ("Back button of Adobe PDF Reader after clicking a hyperlink whose target is on the same document"). Many PDF viewers, including Adobe Reader, use [ALT]+[Left Arrow].

Is there anyway to make this shortcut shorter and more intuitive? Right now if I add another text module, I might need to reorder the modules and so change the shortcuts.

comment Is there a way to quickly jump to a given section/chapter in TeXnicCenter?
Christian, could you please edit your answer to include a note about the necessity of working with projects? That was the hang-up for me. Also, is there a way to include tags which don't show up as sections? Thanks for your help.

Ahh, thanks Speravir. That's what I needed to know. For those who are new like me and need help creating a project from an existing file, look here. (It's pretty non-obvious.)
