French typography: space before percent sign I agree with @Joseph Wright: % is not a punctuation but a unit. This would justify the fact that babel does not handle it. However, the fact that it is handled in the Spanish version contradicts the justification (and in Spanish it is not a punctuation symbol either). In other words, babel should either handle it or not for all languages. So, yes, babel is a bit of a mess. But most languages are a mess :-) |

How to share buildable LaTeX source when the bibliography is not accessible to all parties? I would suggest extracting the cited items like the solution to this question: How to split all BibTeX referenced entries from a big BibTeX database to a copy? |

How to keep track of necessary changes (“todo”) for a large document? Chapeau and a +1 for that thesis draft. I will certainly check what packages you used because the result is excellent |

How to modify columns/column environments so they resize automatically to the largest column ? @Seamus: Ok, I think that I will rewrite my question focusing on how to change the columns/column environment so that it does this automatically. PS: sorry I did not respond earlier, I went away for the weekend |

Coloring columns in a table with colortbl and booktabs Nevermind, I modified the lengths inside the table* environment and it works great. Thanks again. |

Coloring columns in a table with colortbl and booktabs Excellent @Alan, I think I am going to go for the second choice. One follow-up question: should I re-establish the modified lengths after the table? |
