comment Extract all \note tags from beamer as a simple text file
You should know that if you compile your beamer presentation with the notes on the side, pdfpc can now handle this large presentation format and show you the notes in your laptop. This is available in the github version of pdfpc, using the --notes option.

comment Is there a nice solution to get a “presenter mode” for Latex presentations?
Since impressive stopped working correctly for me, this is the best solution available, even better than impressive.

comment Extra characters in reftex citation yasnippet
I'm curious, why should one use this YASnippet to insert citations instead of RefTeX's C-C [ ? According to your question, the latter works as intended.

comment Table within table fouls up vertical alignment of neighboring cells!
@DavidCarlisle, ok thank you for the clarification, I knew that the p resulted in a minipage but I wasn't sure if it was already with the [t] placement.

comment Table within table fouls up vertical alignment of neighboring cells!
Why don't you put that cell in a minipage with the [t] placement option?

comment how to include existing pdf slides into my beamer?
Just a heads-up : there is a typo in [pages=3}. It should be a bracket instead of a brace

comment Per-chapter bibliographies in biblatex
I don't know since which version, but now you use the refsection option of biblatex (i.e. \usepackage[refsection=chapter]{biblatex}) and you would not need to manually put the refsections in each chapter

comment Comprehensive list of tools that simplify the generation of LaTeX tables
An off-topic comment: Those "minus" signs in your headers and first columns are dashes, rather than real minus signs (you probably wrote -xxx instead of $-xxx$)... Remember to use the appropriate one for your reports/papers/etc. !

comment LaTeX Editors/IDEs
I agree with @zeroth. Additionally, I'm not sure if I understand TeX directives correctly, but aren't those a particular feature of TeXShop? If that's the case, then it should be renamed to something like TeX metadata or something that is not bound to an editor, but to a feature.

comment Beamer second screen with next slide
@Seamus: Two reasons to do it with beamer/pgf: 1) impressive seems stuck and last stable version is from some time ago. 2) beamer already does this for the current slide
