comment How to manually format \ointctrclockwise?
I haven't forked out the cash required to pay for hosting and control of my own wordpress server and am just using wordpress.com, which doesn't allow changes to the default plugins. I suppose that if I did that, I'd be able to add extra packages, including my own, and could eliminate this problem directly.

thanks, \mathop{\rlap{\ensuremath{\mkern3.5mu\circlearrowright}}\int} appears to work (although the \int is very short).

Is there a way to do this without the embedded $ markers? Those end the latex context in wordpress.

I don't think it does. Look for example in: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stokes'_theorem which uses the rather ambiguous \oint in places that an orientation is implied.

No, the latex support is limited to inline $ latex ... $ markup.

comment Where do I place my own .sty or .cls files, to make them available to all my .tex files?
Would you really be using personal .sty files in so many ad-hoc locations? Even so, there isn't anything that would prevent such a method from being used even from many locations (since the makefiles in each location can be trivial, including just an include of the make rules).

thanks. btw. Looks like the first \node line should be: \node[anchor=east,rectangle,draw=blue!20,fill=white] (ie. still want a box for an unnamed, but still numbered begin/end block).
