comment Reading number from file into variable — How to put a number into my document that increments with every compilation?
Ah, nice, this uses the .aux file to store the value. But when the .aux is deleted, the version number is lost - right? Is it possible to use another file for storage?

comment How to reference \paragraph?
Again, if something is so important that it needs explicit numbering, why not go for a build in solution with section, subsection ... IMHO: Either I would write "as described in section\ref{sectionlabel}" or I would go for "As described on page~\pageref{phantomsectionlabel}" ... Either way, the solution above makes referring to paragraphs possible - that was the question. It has small overhead. It is good style. (IMHO) ... if you do not like it and you insist on counting paragraphs go for solutions which have more overhead like the one of Ulrike Fischer posted here.

comment Harvard style; multiple works by same author - syntax of tex file
Are you sure that the problem is citing these refs together? Have you tried citing them separatly - does this work?

revised Text upside-down, characters rotated along baseline?
I added another line of code which solves the problem that rotated content does not fit in the normal text line anymore.
