Odd vertical gap with multicol, scrreprt and parskip=half Agreed. As I said in my answer this is associated to the last column balancing of multicols. |

Odd vertical gap with multicol, scrreprt and parskip=halfparskip=full just makes the left column longer so the effect disappears. |

Mutliple inputs with line breaking Welcome to TeX.sx! This is a good to suggestion. To help future visitors please make this in to a complete minimal working example (MWE), cf. Gonzalo Medina's answer. |

How do I get italic texts figures in ConTeXt? If I run context on your examples then mkiv is used and the otf version of the latin modern fonts are used, and I get italic old style numbers. On the other hand if I run the older texexec command, then mkii is used and .pfb files for latin modern are loaded. Perhaps these don't have the required glyphs or mkii calls oldstyle numbers in a different way. |

How do I get italic texts figures in ConTeXt?\em is a command for emphasising text relative to its context, in particular \em inside \em will produce roman. If you want to definitively switch to italic use \it instead. |

Are there any editors or packages with auto-correct for LaTeX commands? Similar features are available for auctex in emacs. |

microtype has issues with mathdesign \mathsf font That log shows the different machine using an even older microtype from 2007. You need to upgrade. |

Intersection of paths with constructed names That works fine for me, the global option makes the names globally defined and I can use them in other groups and loops. May be you have a typo in your code. |

Index with accented letters @daleif That will work nicely provided the text font italic matches math italic, which might not be the case if a font package has been loaded. |

Referencing bib files with spaces in the filename I don't see that this is a duplicate. It is the bibtex stage that chokes on the space in the filename. |
