Is there a way to configure pdflatex to make all but the .tex and .pdf files hidden files? Eclipse + texlipse also has this feature. It is a very nice editor as well -:) |

biblatex ieee style weird paranthesis after an update Strange. I also have updated TeXLive 2012. I am using Ubuntu. Anyway, might be easier to wait for the update to CTAN. Thanks ! |

memoir - sidecaption ignore list of figures Thanks. Since I am using memoir caption stuff I used the second method. Where is the ll file then? Does the same thing apply for tables? |

Creating a drop shadow with guassian blur The shadow is added to the image so the total width and height of the image is increased by the shadow width and height. Thus, the image dimension is increased in total. I want to have the image with the shadow at the same size as of the the original image. Therefore the original image should be downscaled a bit, the shadow is applied and it becomes again the same size. Thanks ! |

Creating a drop shadow with guassian blur Could you do one more improvement? Suppose the total size of the image should not change at all. So \includegraphics image should be downscaled abit. What is the total width which is added by shadow? radius + shift? |

\raggedyleft in memoir? Thank you very much for the detailed explanation. I should say I am familiar with the syntax and can follow it quite well. I have problems with things like \z@, \@plus. How should one know to use these instead of their equivalent non @ version? Where can I find these kinds of information? In LaTeX2e source? |
