comment Command to set cycle list position?
I've copied this into my header and it works as expected, however it alters the page numbers as well. After a cycle list set = 0, my page number get set to -8. Any guidance?

This works, but for reasons of compatibility with provided style files I need to work in BibTeX. I will try to convert the style file later, but is there a similar approach with LaTeX's built in bibliography?

@cmhughes: Sorry about that; I'm new here and still getting the hang of things. Thanks everyone for your help.

Although Gonzalo's answer works, I would prefer to see cmhughes answer corrected as that was more in the style of what I was looking for (although Gonzalo's is a perfectly valid answer).

@Jake has a correction to your pgfplotsset command that makes it work for me. Could you correct your answer?

I don't see a difference either, but I'm hoping the answer looks something like this.
