comment What is the easiest way to mimic an existing PowerPoint template using Beamer?
You can use the powerpoint background and decorative elements and include them using tikz. Same with the title page. For the font you should look into LuaTeX. I think it is doable, but takes some tweaking.

comment Generating pgfplots legend from gnuplot data
Look at my answer. The idea is to convert the small number into two numbers (outside of latex) The factor an the exponent. Those are not small, so you'll have no problem

comment Generating pgfplots legend from gnuplot data
You could run the fit data through (for example) sed and format it so you separate the exponent from the factor and reduce the precision of the numbers. Or look into gnuplot if you could change the output format there...

comment Changing the size of this latex CV template from A4 to letter size
Welcome to TeX Stackexchange. It is easier to help you if you add a minimum working example (code from \documentclass until \end{document}) that can be compiled. This way we can recreate the problem and then try to solve it.

comment Build a real histogram in pgfplots
I still don't get what the question is. Can you make picture of how you want it to look like.

comment Force newline in sequence diagram comment
Welcome to TeX.SX! Please help us to help you and add a minimal working example (MWE) that illustrates your problem. It will be much easier for us to reproduce your situation and find out what the issue is when we see compilable code, starting with \documentclass{...} and ending with \end{document}.

comment I want in my frames some sketch of two columns, presenting an image and at right the description of the image
Your example seems to work. If you explain your problem a little bit more detailed, it might be easier to help you.

comment Two logos in opposite side on beamer with sidebar
@Harald, that would be fine with me.

comment Two logos in opposite side on beamer with sidebar
@Harald it looks like a duplicate. PaloAlto and Berkeley use the sidebar outer theme. The only difference between the linked and my solution seem to be, that the other one repeats the vrule and hskip lines to get the darker background on the right too.

comment Two logos in opposite side on beamer with sidebar
I don't quite understand where you want the logos to be. Can you make an image showing the desired result?

comment Aligning ticklabels in secondary y-axis in pgfplot
It is still slightly off. I think \widthof{$-2.0$} works better.

comment Add fitting line to histogram plot created by pgfplots
Adding the code that you used makes it easier to help you. Do you have a special function, that you want to fit or do you just want to connect the centers of the bar?

comment How to draw a spiral in phase portrait?
I thought, this more a general question, since the original post had no code in it either. Added the code now.

comment Problem using diagbox in Beamer
maybe you can post an example from \documentclass till \end{document}. That would help finding a solution.

comment Show miniframes with split outer themes
I don't really get what you mean. What do you mean by combining miniframe and split? Maybe you can make a mock up of how it should look with and without subsections.

comment How to draw density estimate on histogram by pgfplots?
The smooth histogram depends on a certain Kernel and a bandwidth. I would suggest to use an external programm for the calculation and import the data. Using knitr (and R) or a shell command from within latex could be helpful.

comment Make beamer not look like beamer
+1, I have yet to see someone actually use those in a presentation. They just take away space and attention. (Thanks for reminding me of the "dead give away" song)

comment Equation numbering: how can I get (1.1), (2.1), (3.2) in the article class?
Welcome to TeX SE, your question could be made a little clearer. A minimal working example from \documentclass until \end{document} could enable more users to answer your question.
