comment Problem with caption, hyperref and algorithm2e
Thank you for your edit, however, while the links are now good, the title of each algorithm is completely messed up (the caption is below the second line, instead of between the first and second line, and centered, instead of flushed to the left). Do you know why that is ? Thank you.

comment Problem with caption, hyperref and algorithm2e
Thank you for your answer, however, I want my figures and my algorithms to be printed using the same list, in this case \listoffigures, and I want the numbering to be consistant (fig 1, alg 2, fig 3, ...). I might have stripped down my actual document too much to provide the MWE, sorry about that. Anyway, if you think this is possible with your approach, please let me know (I have edited my example). Thanks.

comment Changing language back and forth with polyglossia
Fortunately, my (much larger) project compiles fine with XeLaTeX and the behavior is indeed correct there. I am all ears for a possible LuaLaTeX fix though, since this seems to me it is the only hiccup in the experimental support. For example, \cref{fig} and \cref{chap} correctly switch back to the correct formatting (fig. in English vs. figure in French and chapter in English vs. chapitre in French).

comment Using pgf to print raw numbers without math delimiters
I just want to escape math mode. @egreg solution is what I needed, but if you have another solution using lua, please let me know.

This is what I had in mind first, unfortunately this breaks something with the siunitx package, c.f. my edit. Thanks anyway

comment Scattering a figure with TikZ
I'll accept your answer because you cared to answer and I thank you for that. If you want a more flexible approach (I guess), you can check my code I just posted in update 2. It automatically handles your transform canvas and there is much less copy/past involved if you want to add/remove points (you just need to change two lists). Thanks again for your inputs !

Thanks, I was lazy and didn't give clip a go, but that works quite well actually (c.f. last edit on my original post)

comment Scattering a figure with TikZ
I'm sorry, I was still thinking about TikZ, what I wanted to do is split the \draw [cyan, xshift=4cm] plot [smooth cycle, tension=0.95] coordinates { (a) (b) (c) (d) (e) }; into multiple \draw [cyan, xshift=4cm] plot [smooth, tension=0.95] coordinates { (a) (b) (c) }; and so on, but the tangents are not aligned by doing so. I'll have a look at asymptote.

I was thinking of doing that, however, I don't know how to 1) draw the path piece by piece 2) make the tangent of each pieces of the path align at the points (a), (c) and (e) easily.

comment Trend line with pgfplots and dateplots
Unfortunately I can't choose the format of my input datum. I'm willing not to use dateplot, but I still don't clearly see how I can efficiently convert the input date into numeric coordinates, do the regression, and then change the xticklabels (what I have in mind involve creating a column to the table data.dat, and then plotting the new column + modifying the labels, but I'm hoping there is a more efficient "one-liner".

comment TikZ spy and Beamer uncover
Thank you ! I tried the [overlay] option but with uncover, not only, of course I had the same issue, should have tried that in the first place instead of bothering you. Anyway your code for visible on might help me for some other things, so thanks again !

comment Adding a x tick but not the corresponding y tick
They are in the version 1.6.1, released on the 23rd of August. And also, another question, how can I format the x ticks label ? Here, the 1000 sep is clearly missing. Thanks a lot for your help

comment Adding a x tick but not the corresponding y tick
Great ! Thanks. Do you know why neither yticklabel={ \pgfmathifisint{exp(\tick)}{\pgfmathparse{exp(\tick)}\pgfmathprintnumber{\pgfmat‌hresult}}{} }, nor yticklabel={ \pgfmathifisint{\pgfmathparse{exp(\tick)}\pgfmathresult}{\pgfmathparse{exp(\tick‌)}\pgfmathprintnumber{\pgfmathresult}}{} }, work ? (and by work I mean compile)

Sorry, I over simplified the problem I was facing, I updated my first post, for which both solutions don't work.

comment make section headings invisible?
No. The thing is that new sections will necessary be at the beginning of new pages, I just want to remove the "X. Section name", as it will already be written in the header (via fancyhdr)

Just section-level will be fine.
