Yes. Thanks! I searched stackexchange, but did not find this one.

comment Aligning forest trees and getting the bounding box right
OK, thanks! Just for better understnading: Putting my trees into the node called tree causes tikzto determine the size of this object and this also solves the problem with the distance to the caption, right?

comment Getting old school trees with forest
Thanks! I took the fit=band option, although I do not see a difference for the examples at hand. I added the fit-declaration to the style declaration so that it applies to all nodes automatically. Thanks a lot! This package is a monster! But I am getting closer to understanding something. =:-)

Yes, this is true. The bending of the line is different, but I will find out how this is done. Thanks for pointing me to this solution!

Thanks! It was pstricks and the link to the trick was very helpful indeed!

Thanks! When I load it, I get an error telling me that \clipbox is already defined. Hm.

comment Smaller roofs for forest
Thanks! This is very cool! There is one tiny remaining problem: If some or all words are not glossed, LaTeX complains. If one has abstract elements in the tree that are not glossed, such situations could arise.

comment Smaller roofs for forest
Thanks! In another question (tex.stackexchange.com/questions/204770/…) I learned that one can pass parameters to annotation of node and set a default value. So wouldn't it be possible to pass a certain length to the triangle annotation and the tree layout would work as usual but the triangle would be drawn according to this length? Even better: One could just pass the string along and let the triangle code determine its length. I am asking because I have lots of such trees ... Thanks! =:-)

comment Defining a special edge style for connecting nodes in forest
Thanks a lot! This manual is very complex and I would never have made it. The parameter and the default is very cool!

comment Connecting arbitrary text in `forest`
Thanks, but this does not take into account the size of the text. It is just one point, right? I could not refer to the top of the lower 1, could I?

comment Connecting arbitrary text in `forest`
Thanks! Your solution handles the whole node as one object. I want to connect arbitrary text within these nodes. For instance connecting the 1. Your solution seems to use absolute shifts and hence seems to be font dependent. I was trying something like \node (fin1) {\textit{fin}} within the tree nodes, but this did not work.

Ignasi would you mind changing the solution towards my edit in the question? I would the mark it as the correct answer and we could close this question.

I thought of a way to say that the N of ich is south west of V-ptr, so that tikz puts it on the right level itselve. If this is not possible a phnatom node as daughter of V-ptrand the tier connection to it is probably the best way to do it, since this will be as automatic and as font independent as possible. Thanks!

comment Forcing a node or a tier to be set below a certain other node in forest
Thanks, I did not see your answer before doing my edit of the question (I did not do a propper reload). If one puts the phantom as sister of gesehen one does not need the dotted line and one does not have to give gesehen a name. Your solution is much better than what I had in the beginning. I used three phantoms as parents of wenin order to get everything down below gesehen. Thanks again!

comment Forcing a node or a tier to be set below a certain other node in forest
The graphs differ in the position of ich. In the first case ich is a child of V-prt. In the second case ich is a child of the top-most V. Since ich is a child of V-ptr in the first graph, it is typeset below this node. I want to have ich below V-ptr in the second figure as well and I am looking for a way to express this. So I need something that inserts space between the top-most Vand the two Ns for wenand ich. Or something that pushes the tier mytier down to the position it has in the first figure.

Very cool! Thanks! With the tier I can drop the phantom nodes alltogether and add a no edge to nacc instead.

comment Typesetting Dependency Grammar trees
Thanks for all these hints. I knew most of the packages (I did typeset a text book about grammatical theory), but they do not do what I want. As for pstricks, the problem is: If you do a 500 page book, it takes ages to compile the stuff with the shell escapes. I want to get rid of this. I used to use dvips-tree, but this is not compatible with xelatex, so I converted everything to pstricks, but as I said, it slows down things.
