xelatex does not find texgyreterms OK. This works. Thanks! The big question is now: How do I set up a class file that works both on Mac and Ubuntu? |

Times they are changing (font differences Mac/LaTeX) Thanks for all these suggestions and discussions! The problem is that we want to produce a bundle and give it to authors, so we cannot give fonts away. But maybe we live with a temporary imperfection for the authors and I do the final latex stuff and use the Mac fonts. This would be at least a working solution, not the perfect one though. |

Times they are changing (font differences Mac/LaTeX) Hm, the xelatex option may work, but we develop a class for an open access project and it is supposed to work on all machines. I guess we are not allowed to distribute the mac system fonts, are we? So we needed a free Times with true small caps. |

Drawing tree like structure Thank you very much! This package is so complex and with so many possibilities and it is really great to see it applied to one's own problem. I learned a lot! |

Drawing tree like structure This is just how it is supposed to look like. I started tikz-qtree and I am quite happy with the way it works (without having to name nodes explicitly) but I have no idea how to do this with tikz-qtree or tikz without qtree. |

crossing out whole slide with LaTeX beamer Thanks! Is there a way to not let the cross extend to the edges of the slide but let's say span the text area only. I have a header at the top of the slide and the header is not wrong, neither is the footer. |

layout section heading Language is the journal of the Lingusitics Society of America. Thanks a lot. I added \periodafter to paragraph and [run] in to the others and this did the trick. I think the rationale behind this layout is to safe as much space as possible. Hardly readable ... |
