URL field inherited despite separate cross reference item The url = {} solution seems to work in principle. However, BibDesk is smarter than we are and removes the empty field from the database ... |

URL field inherited despite separate cross reference item OK. This is great, but the other poster is right too: In case I specify a specific value for the papers in the proceedings, I would like to see this value. So is there a trick that helps to see whether one deals with an inherited value or a specific one? |

URL field inherited despite separate cross reference item I agree. So, if something is specified, this should be printed for the individual items, but if nothing is specified, the value should not be inherited. |

Eating a dot after a command I have a bibliography that contains URLs they are set like \url{ ... }. I cannot influence this. So I have to redifine the url command to eat this dot. |

Getting rid of space after \vpageref Thanks! How silly not to take \vref in the first place. I use it at other places, but started with \ref and then thought about adding the page reference. Thanks anyway. Maybe we delete this question. Sort of embarrassing ... |

Shifting parts of a tree to the left, create overlapping sisters in tikz-qtree? OK. Thanks. I now managed to shift the adjective node below the Det node. But what I want is a combination of the two things. I want to shift the NP node to the left as in your solution and then shift everything below the V nodes to the left as well. sibling distance seems to fail here. |

Shifting parts of a tree to the left, create overlapping sisters in tikz-qtree? No, this adds space, I want to subtract space. For instance Adj should be typeset really close to the line connecting en and Det and han should be as much left as possible and close to er. The idea is to have the content as big as possible in order to make the stuff readable. |
