comment qed symbol not correctly aligned when ending a proof with a diagram
@egreg: Makes me wonder why amongst the myriad of theorem packages, no-one seems to have tried a zero-height line with a smashed tombstone at the end, but that would probably put the tombstone even further down than your third variant.

comment Strange errors and error changes
Fixed packages at [absatzen.de/thmtools-v66.tar.gz]/[http://absatzen.de/… and going to CTAN in a few moments.

comment Hide your e-mail address from spam crawlers
@DL6ER: My point exactly. This is not about a spammer getting your adress, this is about you getting legitimate feedback from people who do not speak your language. This looks like a very low barrier, until you set your operating system language to Polish and then try to get anything done. (Language chosen arbitrarily as one I don't speak.)

comment Hide your e-mail address from spam crawlers
@doncherry: with my accessibility hat put on, this requires knowledge of the language and will give you a lot of bounces to john.doemy@foo.com, so it probably also requires knowledge about how last names in your culture are constructed.

comment Add authors as footnote in lncs
It's been a while since I last used it, but doesn't llncs put the author name in the left-hand page header? Thus, a footnote might not give you what you want.

comment Changing the color of theorem headings
From the many-argumented \newtheoremstyle, I assume you use amsthm?

comment What does Tex Live have to do with ruby?
Please elaborate on "no longer run". This could even be a simple collision in executable names.

comment can't renew math command '\exp', why?
In the words of the old joke: to understand recursion, you must first understand recursion. In simple-structured cases like this, you can't usefully have the command you're trying to (re)define in the definition itself.

comment Missing $ Inserted After Index
check the output: the erroneous $ will put the text into math mode. (My guess is an errant _ somewhere.)

comment Want to eliminate the automatic time stamp of pdflatex (or lyx?)
@user2604484: I don't think there is an automatic provision to re-gain the "empty line" that an empty date would create.

comment Want to eliminate the automatic time stamp of pdflatex (or lyx?)
Is your goal to get a binary-identical output file every time? There's internal timestamps that pdflatex creates that would need to be disabled, too.

comment Trouble using an image in a Beamer presentation
Can we rule out the file is in fact broken? What does file ./markov.jpeg say when executed on the command line? Does it open in xv, gimp, your browser?

comment Problem with updating tlmgr: Bad hostname
Yes, it appears that funnyshare.org is very down, the name does not currently resolve in the domain name service, you better force another mirror manually.

comment Referring to unnumbered paragraphs
Techniques used for numbering footnotes per page may be useful here, but I foresee problems with paragraphs that are split between pages.

comment Could significant speedups be gained from package code minification?
I guess the equivalent of minification in the LaTeX world is the building of specialized formats. (To a lesser degree, what docstrip does is also minification.)

comment Don't start next section until every image float is resolved
@Werner: doesn't \chapter already issue \clearpage? Or is that only the \include (which IMO is a very good idea once you have something with multiple chapters anyway).

comment Tables inside of ntheorem environment
Main problem is the shaded keys which will wrap the contents in a non-outer context (which does not allow floats). Why have a {table} without a \caption in the first place?

comment Why don't this two consecutive draw commands with angle generate parallel lines?
I'd need to read up on tikz' coordinate systems... going by the picture, is (51:1.9) polar w.r.t. origin? (It sounds like you want polar w.r.t. the current position.)

comment Problem with counter and \pause
Do you need fancy nesting of the continuation frames that would require you to have several counters for this? I'm seeing if we can just expose beamer's "continuation" mechanic to handle manual breaks.

comment Problem with counter and \pause
To a zeroth approximation, I'd guess: \newcounter is global. \pause will cause the frame contents to be typeset more than once. That sounds like something that could conflict.
