Problem with updmap I'll look into just installing via tlmgr. Out of curiosity... where does the @INC path get defined? Perhaps I can at least try and track down a config that might be out of date and point it to the right place? |

Problem with updmap I might be muddying waters since Arch does this differently than the TL default or other distros... I posted on Arch forums as well and will post the answer here if I get it. My apologies if this is a source of confusion. |

Problem with updmap I don't have a /usr/local/texlive directory... Should I? Arch Linux provides the Arch Build System so you can build from source. Here's the default build script for texlive-core (how the binary installs from the repo by default. No references to /usr/local that I see. |

Problem with updmap Both updmap and updmap-sys are in /usr/bin/. (Actually just noted that the error above says that: failed... at /usr/bin/updmap line 18.) |

Confused about TikZ \draw[rotate=angle] I feel like an idiot. Having found rotate around in the manual... it's exactly what I needed. Rotate around sounded intuitively like what was happening, whereas rotate sounded like it should just rotate in place. Thanks. |

TeX memory size error when using TikZ foreach children in trees @Ulrike Fischer: I got pdflatex: unrecognized option '--extra-mem-top=10000000'. Any suggestions? |

TeX memory size error when using TikZ foreach children in trees @Caramdir: whoops. I actually didn't see that suggestion to increase it via command-line. In terms of not using lualatex, I just have no experience with it and typically export via org-mode, so using the default pdflatex exporter is great as I don't have to make an exception for just one file. I'll try the other suggestion next time I boot into linux (in OS X at the time and don't use latex on it). Thanks for the comment. |

Extra line of vertical separator using itemize in tabular Huh. That does, indeed, work. Any idea why 1) itemize is inserting a "ghost line" after the end of the list or 2) why this works to fix it? Is it just inserting negative space afterward? |

How to customize the table of contents using TikZ? Wow -- yes, I feel quite silly :) I completely missed "of contents"! |

Line spacing with mixed font sizes in itemize environment That's odd... not sure what to say about that. See my answer for one more idea? |
