My last "answer" is here, but it was unfairly converted to a comment :-D.

I have problem to be neither asked nor answered.

Notes

  1. preview package
    • ignores \pagecolor{} and paper size.
    • needs -D10000 option to get a tight output.
    • cannot work with animate package.
  2. standalone class uses preview package internally so it does the same behaviour.

@Alexander: Which method will produce faster animation viewed on Adobe Reader, animateinline or animategraphics?

I think I don't need pst-pdf because it internally invokes preview.

I will test it now. Whether it is what I am looking for.

comment auto-pst-pdf Problem
@Herbert: Are you sure the PDF animations produced by pst-pdf will still work if they are imported in the main input file? In my experience, PDF animation files will no longer work if they are imported in the main input file. That is why the raw PSTricks code that corresponds to the animation must be inserted to the main input file and recompiled together with the main input file.

A post bounty of 500 will be given for an accepted answer. The post bounty is one that will be presented after executing a green check mark. If no useful answer, then there will be no such a bounty. :-)
