Subequations inside align result in too wide equation Hi Peter, my department at the university provides a documentclass with a lot of build in options to keep publications uniform. Unfortunatly I can therefor not provide a MWE with a documentclass. I can also not upload a picture to show you the difference between the example in my original post and the result I get now. Hopefully I can do so in the future with more credits. |

Subequations inside align result in too wide equation Thank you so much! The equations however are compressed in height as would normally don for using $some-equation$. What would be a solution to keep the proper full size? |

Unwanted symbol ă in tabular environment I cannot post my own answer, but removing the indents in the tabular environgment resolved the issue for my specific document class. Allthough I find this very supprising, it did the trick. |

Unwanted symbol ă in tabular environment Thank you for your explenation. I do however have an additional question before I can solve the issue. You are saying "zapping the offending character", does this mean I need to delete some character or put a ~ somewhere? What would be a bad character in my 'MWE'? |

Unwanted symbol ă in tabular environment @egref: adding \usepackage[ascii]{inputenc} does fix the issue, but I get a lot of error messages for my entire thesis. However, the tables look fine in PDF. Is there a quick and dirty way without having to adress all the errors indicated by this package? |
