You suggestion about using #2 instead of #1 did work. As for the nested one, I mean to have both two bookmarks for the same page, first for its label and subbookmark for the file name of that figure. In other words to link label and file name to the same figure/page of PDF. This way I will have all information about the figures.

Above code beautifully produces PDF with bookmarks for labels of the figures included, and not their file names. Let me try your comment suggestion, while you can think about nested case, if you be so kind.

And even more complicated, nested bookmarks for figure labels and then figure file names? :)

You are a genius! How about bookmarks according to figure file names?

Martin, one last question. Is there any easy way to create bookmarks in allpdfs according to the figure titles [or their labels]?

Martin, is there a way to include EPS figures in the filelist.tex?

I have tried you code. First, the figures are all in the 8x11 inch pages, instead of in their original sizes. Second, in the main document I am getting following error: Illegal parameter number in definition of \mylabel ...{\mylabel}[1]{\csname mylabel #2\endcsname} Missing number, treated as zero ...aphics[page=\mylabel{some label}]{allpdfs} Missing \endcsname inserted ...aphics[page=\mylabel{some label}]{allpdfs}

Then I have to explain how to unzip and where to put folder etc. By the way, my question is similar to this one: tex.stackexchange.com/questions/29323/…

For my thesis. I don't want to zip figures and instead send thesis.tex and a pdf.

Mafra, you said "The rescaled circle is mathematically equivalent to an ellipsis." Can you prove this claim? :)

Thank you so much cmhughes! Is it possible to have a and b defined somewhere to yield a full control?

Mafra, unfortunately I don't have MWE. I need an ellipse to use it along with other Feynman graphs; maybe together injunction, for various presentations. Also, I am very interested to see how one can draw a random function with \fmfcmd albeit by abusing the FeynMF :)

Definitely, I'd like to see such a solution. Not only will it be helpful in and of itself, but also will give us an idea how to implement the code into FeynMP. Thank you.

the idea of x or y-scaling of a circle isn't sufficient for my purpose. I need exact ellipse with controllable parameters within the picture environment. Isn't there a way in FeynMF [or FeynMP] to draw any given function with a \fmfcmd?
