True, although with vim-latex, complex solutions are really easy to wire into the shortcuts. Auctex has the capability but my lisp isn't good enough to do them. But you're right, neither of these give the flexibility of changing it afterward.

Do you have the same version of all the packages used? Put \listfiles before \begin{document} to get a list of all the packages and their versions. I had a problem like this caused by out of date packages on a separate OS.

If that's the case then davbud's answer on tex.stackexchange.com/questions/57702/… should do the job

Just to clarify, you're trying to get the figures to expand past the margins, to fill more of the page horizontally?

Forgot to mention that `C` centers the contents.

Fixed! If I add \baselineskip=20pt plus 1pt minus 1pt just before the wrapfigure and then reinstate \baselineskip=1\baselineskip plus 1fill at the beginning of the next paragraph, wrapfigure behaves correctly.

comment Change lineskip to fill the available space
This answer is really nice! I was really hoping to include a wrapfig in my minipage, but wrapfig overcalculates the space needed (as if it calculates the number of lines needed before the \baselineskip changes and then expands with the new \basselineskip). Is there any way to get around this?
