comment Is it possible to have authoryear-style citations with the IEEEtran document class?
I am getting this error message: ** Natbib version - not for normal IEEE work.

comment No spacing between enumerated items with \usepackage{enumerate}
Ah that worked great. enumitem was breaking some of my previous enumerate commands.

comment How to fix the geometry error: \paperwidth too short when using the savetrees package with sig-alternate
@DavidCarlisle That is a good point. I suppose that I was not interested in change the paper size but rather the spacing between items in descriptions and itemizations, etc.

@egreg Would you recommend instead the original format of the ACM SIG style? See acm.org/sigs/publications/proceedings-templates.

comment How to eliminate the space between multiple numeric citations when using citep and natbib?
This actually works but has the side effect of making the citet command look funny.

comment a/an substitution in LaTeX
Yes, I understand it's not a general solution, but it would work for the majority of cases I need it for, and also reduce the number of cases I need to edit my latex code. @Ulrich: It doesn't work for me, possible because I am using a command following \AOrAn. I commented about this in the other site.
