Why do I fail to plot (x-1)^{-2/3} using the tikz package?
When I run your code, the graph isn't in the output. I have only the numbers and the axes.

Why do I fail to plot (x-1)^{-2/3} using the tikz package?
@m0nhawk: Two questions: 1- why the numbering of my
y
axis is 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5? 2- why did you put
1/3
in
y = 1/|x-1|^(1/3)
instead of
2/3
?

@Qrrbrbirlbel yes, I would. But I want the axes format like my own code.

How to write y = (x / 6) ^ {3 / 7} in TikZ format to plot its graph?
Could you please tell me why the two solutions above (using TikZ and pstricks) are different? In other words, by using TikZ, why isn't y=0, when x=0?

@lohann: Thanks for your answer, but why isn't y=0, when x=0?

@devendra Is there a way to know which one is font dependent and which one is not?
